Shannon grew up in Blacktown, NSW. She completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History and Politics, before taking some time off to travel.

She returned to Australia and completed her Bachelor of Laws at Southern Cross University, graduating in 2002 with Honours.

After completing her degree, she moved to Brisbane and completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Queensland University of Technology. She was admitted to practice in July 2003.

Shannon originally practiced in Wills and Estates Law, with a particular focus on asset protection. She moved into Family Law in 2006 and has since that time gained experience in a wide range of matters.

Whereas Luke is a natural advocate, Shannon enjoys crafting a well-argued and well-reasoned legal case so she spends a lot of time drafting, investigating and compiling evidence.  She tends to let Luke handle the ‘front of office’ whilst she works away quietly in the background.
